I've used similar products from Dewalt, Ryobi, older 9V Makita, and none are perfect. I've recently switched from all Dewalt tools to Makita 18V LXT and I'm happy overall. It's bigger than I expected, build quality not a nice as the current 18V LXT drills, but hey.it's a flashlight. Just don't expect to much and you'll really like this light. It's worth having matching equipment with a single charger / battery setup than multiple tools and chargers to tote around. When the battery gets low, it just shuts off instead of normal, lights fading to dim. I was actually expecting something more from Makita with the product as it's not the brightest either.
This light is great though, when running power over T bar it not only brightens the work space but the entire ceiling. Unlike the Dewalt light with the adjustable neck. I love this flashlight. I can place this light in one spot and not have to move it around every time I make progress. I wouldn't trade this light for any other one out there. I haven't owned many flash lights because I tend to stick to one for a while. And i'v put up with some horrible ones over the years.
It's also very light and feels cheap. The light stopped working within the first day I used it. It will turn on, but after about 10 seconds it turns itself off.
This is by far one of the best flashlights I own, I would highly recommend.
There are brighter and cheaper lights out there, but I just love this one.Lasts forever, easy to hold, comes with the spare bulb (hidden under the reflector)
